Young Ladies Rites of Passage Program
“…(we) believe in sisterhood, making a positive impact in young ladies’ lives and acknowledging GOD in all we do.”
– Carol Brooks and ROPP Mentors
Derrick Brooks Charities believes deeply in throwing the rope back to help pull our youth into an educated, empowered and emboldened future. One of the ways we do this is through our Young Ladies Rites of Passage Program. This program impacts the lives of young ladies throughout the Tampa Bay area.
We infuse morals and values in our young ladies and encourage them in a way that lasts a lifetime. Character is at the heart of our focus as we help young girls and ladies to transition into successful women.
The Rites of Passage Program is designed for females 9 to 18 years old and runs from September to May each year. Our impact comes through teaching, workshops and discussions on the topics of life, leadership skills, character building, self-discipline, ancestral history, community service, human rights, cultural diversity, etiquette and health and hygiene.
