Derrick Brooks Charities recently had the pleasure of celebrating two outstanding students at the CFYPinellas Scholarship Breakfast held at TD Ball Park in Dunedin. Darrell Daniels, Executive Director of the Youth Programs, joined Ka’Lyn Washington of St. Pete High School and Linda Aguirre-Lujano of Largo High School for the special event, honoring their remarkable achievements.

Both Ka’Lyn and Linda were awarded scholarships to attend Pinellas Technical College, where they will pursue careers in nursing. Derrick Brooks Charities was proud to be part of the celebration, supporting these students and recognizing their dedication to their education and future in healthcare.

The scholarship breakfast provided an inspiring opportunity to recognize these young leaders, celebrate their hard work, and encourage their continued success as they take the next steps toward becoming nurses.

Derrick Brooks Charities remains committed to fostering opportunities for students across Pinellas County, helping them achieve their dreams and contribute to the greater good.

We are proud to support students like Ka’Lyn and Linda, who are dedicated to serving others through healthcare. Investing in their education is an investment in the future of our community!
