Derrick Brooks Charities in partnership with Bealls Florida, Human IT & AT&T sponsored a back to school giveaway to students in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, August 9th. The event was held at OJ Semmes Elementary School and was well attended. Over 400 backpacks stuffed with school supplies and 250 Chromebook were donated. Derrick Brooks Charities Youth Programs Executive Director Darrell Daniels and 6 members from the DBCYP Advisory Committee traveled to Pensacola to assist with the event. Also in attendance was Escambia County Commissioner Lumon May, Pensacola Police Chief Kristin Brown, OJ Semmes Principal Susan Sanders and many other dignitaries.
