For 47 years, Communities Caring at Christmas has brought hope, joy, and support to families across the Gulf Coast. This year was no exception.

In partnership with Sue Straughn and WEAR ABC 3 News, the annual tradition continued its mission of serving children and families in need throughout the Pensacola community.

Through the generosity of supporters and community partners, new and unwrapped toys were collected and distributed to children in need and foster programs — ensuring that more families experienced the magic of Christmas.

Adding a special touch to the festivities was Santa Paws, who was happy to lend a helping paw in delivering joy to local children. Smiles filled the room as families selected gifts, volunteers wrapped presents, and children experienced the excitement that defines the holiday season.

For nearly five decades, Communities Caring at Christmas has been about more than gifts. It’s about community. It’s about dignity. It’s about showing families that they are seen, valued, and supported.

Year after year, this initiative reminds us that when a community comes together with compassion and purpose, lives are impacted far beyond a single day.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and partner who made the 47th year of Communities Caring at Christmas possible. Together, we continue a legacy of service — and we look forward to many more years of caring.
