On August 7, 2018 14 students from the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department successfully graduated from the Summer program. Wellcare hosted them at their corporate headquarters with a wonderful lunch and the students received their certificates, $250.00 gift cards from Walmart and backpacks filled with goodies for the upcoming school year. On Tuesday July 24, 2018 the students entered week 3 of their Summer program. This week was about how a bill gets passed to law in the State. The class was divided into three groups: Media, Legislators and Lobbyists. After much conversation the bill was not passed into law.
