Breast Cancer Awareness and the Rites of Passage Mentoring Program
Did you know breast cancer affects one in eight women in the United States and is the second cause of cancer death among women? These facts and more were discussed in our mentoring meeting this past Saturday. The young ladies of the ROPP had the opportunity to learn more about breast cancer and have an open discussion concerning this matter. They also created pearl, breast cancer awareness bracelets and, necklaces to be worn in the Breast Cancer Awareness walk on 10/28 at Amalie Arena. Together let’s fight breast cancer and make a difference! October birthdays were celebrated as well! A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Zakaya Green, Asia Philon, and Jai’Yanna James!
