On Saturday August 4, 2018, Derrick Brooks Charities Youth Programs in partnership with the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation, City of Tampa Police Department, Metropolitan Ministries, Club 1828, ETBCA and the Suncoast Credit Union hosted the 13th Annual Back 2 School Bash at the Jackson Heights NFL Yet Center from 10am-2pm. There was a Back Pack Giveaway, Music and Entertainment, Resource Vendors, Free Food, Raffles, Prizes and Bounce Houses. Thank you to all of our sponsors for being able to provide needed school supplies for the 2018-2019 school year!

DBCYP Executive Director and Advisory Committee President Diedrea Anthony presented committee member retiring Major Rocky Ratliff of the Tampa Police Department with a plaque thanking him for 30 years of outstanding service at the DBCYP Back 2 School Bash on August 4th where 750 youth received backpacks and all necessary school supplies.
