This was the last day of our voyage as a group. We started the day with a wonderful breakfast at the Ritz Carlton outside by the lake. We then checked out and loaded up the bus for the University of Central Florida, the 2nd largest University in the United States with over 70,000 students. At UCF we took a bus tour of the campus and the students were able to shop at the bookstore. Our last stop was to Second Harvest Food Bank where we ate lunch and met with the representatives from Fifth Third Bank for our Community Service Learning Project. This particular bank serves over 570 agencies in central Florida feeding the hungry and homeless. Our job on this day was to pack 4 ½ tons of potatoes!! Our group of 35 was able to accomplish this in record time. We completed the task and cleaned up in 90 minutes!! This was a fantastic experience for everyone. Last but not least we departed for Tampa and arrived at Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School to be reunited with our families. A very special thank you to all of the chaperones and adults that made this possible as well as the staff at Derrick Brooks Charities and to our founder and President, Derrick Brooks.
